Introduction Background Overview Installation Simulation Manual Programmer's Manual Numerical Methods

Process simulators are used to simulate processes in the process industries such as,

Process simulators predominantly fall into one of two categories, either steady state or dynamic, and, broadly, the method of solving the simulation ranges from fully equation based to fully sequential modular based, but is generally a combination of the two.

OpenProcessSim is an open source modular and equation based (hybrid) process simulator that is intended for use as a steady state (process design and optimisation) and dynamic (process / control system verification) process simulator as well as providing an introduction to the process equipment simulated and how it can be simulated. It will be developed over time on this site.
